Hi, I'm Lovro Crnković. Welcome to my corner of the internet!
By day, I'm a student at Technical School Daruvar studying to become a computer technician. Beyond the classroom, my life is driven by curiosity, creation, and a deep appreciation for where technology came from and where it's going.
What I Do & What I Love:
Vintage Tech & Hardware: I collect and restore vintage computers. I believe that to truly appreciate the powerful technology we have today, you have to understand the history behind it. I even build my own hardware projects from scratch, like my custom 8-bit (super)computer.
Software & Development: Whether I'm crafting modern web applications, designing games, or building my own AI model from scratch, I love working across different paradigms of code. My toolkit spans decades of programming history, from nostalgic retro languages like BASIC, Pascal and Assembly to modern powerhouses like Go, Python, C#, and C++ (which I'm currently learning).
Open Source & Privacy: I'm a passionate advocate for Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and daily drive CachyOS. I care about online privacy and build software with the goal of creating safer, eye-opening, and empowering digital spaces for everyone.
Analog & Creative Pursuits: Outside the digital world, I find balance through analog photography on film, audio production, and astronomy.
The Human Side:
While I love modern technology and seeing how fast it advances, I also value finding calm in world around me. For me, stepping back into vintage tech, analog crafts, and music is a way to slow down and clear my mind. In an industry so focused on speed, efficiency, and advancing, I strongly believe in taking care of mental health is important and keeping technology human-centered. My philosophy is simple: "Do what makes you happy and fulfills your goals, but always make time for the simple things that keep you calm."
